Hunting Island wildlife

I want to add a few more pictures of some of the wildlife we were surrounded by over the weekend. The kids named 2 of the raccoons that visited us at the campsite. They also named the little black throated green warbler that came close a few times. I do not have a good zoom on my camera so I had to get very close and he didn't seem to mind. The other pictures are of the sea cucumber and the egret. In the first slideshow I posted a picture of the forest and if you look closely you can see 2 deer that came up to our site as well. Enjoy!

Great pictures! Looks like a fascinating place to hang out. Couldn't believe the number of palm (?) trees laying on the ground -- from storms?

Awesome! I have been thinking about you guys this week and hoping you had good weather. IT is such a treat to be able to explore an un-developed (relatively) beach! Look forward to taking the boys there when they get a bit older.

Oh, and that is a pine warbler, not a black-throated green. Pine warblers are residents in these parts and the BTG is a migrant (from the tropics) and will not be here for another few weeks/month and half.

Miss you guys and love you a lot!
